DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT!\n\n\n\nThe 6th Annual Taste of Uptown is an event that celebrates Uptown's amazing cultural and culinary diversity. This restaurant crawl will feature small bites and samplings from Uptown eateries. Participants will receive an event passport and stroll from restaurant to restaurant along Uptown's business corridors\, enjoying samples at various locations.\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nNEW in 2022 - we've expanded the event to two routes!\n\nKey: V=Vegetarian option\, VV=Vegetarian/Vegan option\, and GF=Gluten-free option.\n\n\n\nBOWL ROUTE - SOLD OUT!\n\n\n\nPLATE ROUTE - SOLD OUT!\n\n\n\n\n\nFor this year's Taste\, the Uptown Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Care for Real (CfR) for Hunger Action Month! CfR's mission is to foster a healthy and equitable community by helping vulnerable neighbors overcome food insecurity with dignity. CfR provides food\, clothing\, pet food\, referral\, and additional services with compassion to improve the health and well-being of low-income residents to foster a stronger\, healthier\, equitable\, and more stable community.\n\n\nAll donors who contribute $10 or more to Care for Real through this Hunger Action Month donation link before Friday\, September 30\, 2022 will be entered to win the Taste of Uptown Gift Package a collection of gift cards and merchandise from Uptown businesses valued at $250! Please note that this donation is separate from the event ticket price. \n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCheck out what previous attendees had to say!\n\n\n "Great event!! Will definitely be back out there next year."\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs\n\nOnce I've purchased my ticket\, does it cost extra for the tastings? \n\nNo\, the price of the ticket includes all tastings on your designated route. \n\n\n\nDo I need to visit the businesses in any particular order?\n\nNo. Once you receive your event passport\, you are free to go to any participating business on your designated route in any order. \n\n\n\nAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?\n\nNo\, but a few locations will be serving liquor samples to those who are ages 21+ so please bring an ID.\n\n\n\nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?\n\nThis event is accessible via the Wilson and Argyle Red Line stations in addition to CTA bus routes #22\, #36\, #78\, and #81.\n\n\n\nDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?\n\nNo\, we will be checking people in by name.\n\n\n\nWhy don't I see my favorite Uptown restaurant as a participant? \n\nThis event is produced by the Uptown Chamber of Commerce\, Uptown's premier business association since 1923. The Uptown Chamber works to nurture a diverse\, vibrant\, and thriving Uptown by supporting and strengthening both existing and new businesses and organizations. Participation in this event is limited to members of the organization. We extended an invitation to all of our member restaurants to participate and we also invite non-member businesses to join the Uptown Chamber if they'd like to be a part of the event\, but not all businesses chose to participate. Additionally\, we aim to make the route of this event to be easily walkable\, therefore some businesses may be "hosted" at other businesses.
