DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, August 26 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm for the Annual Membership Meeting of Business Partners\, The Chamber for Uptown!  This FREE event is open to Chamber Members only.  \n\n\n\nDuring this event\, participants will get a chance to hear from Chamber leadership\, network with other Members\, and cast a vote for Directors who are running for election/re-election. We're honored to have Dr. Clement S. Rose from Weiss Memorial Hospital join us as a guest speaker. There will also be some special surprises and Uptown swag giveaways!\n\n\n\nLUNCH - you can click here to view our Member Directory and decide which Uptown spot to grab your lunch from before joining us virtually for the meeting!  \n\n\n\nOur Member events build community among Uptown businesses\, non-profits and neighborhood groups\, strengthening our local economy through the development of strategic partnerships.   \n\n\n\nGUEST SPEAKER:\n\nClement Rose\, M.D.\, is the Hospital Physician Advisor\, Core Faculty\, and Director of the Arvey Clinic at Weiss Memorial Hospital. Dr. Rose earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed his residency training at Weiss Memorial Hospital. Dr. Rose is board certified in Internal Medicine.\n\nDr. Rose has been a resident of Uptown for 50 years and serves on the Board of Directors for the Pedersen-McCormick Boys & Girls Club\, where he attended on scholarship as a youth.\n\n\n\nENTERTAINMENT BY:\n\nBill Larkin is a pianist\, singer and comedy songwriter. He has performed on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and at the Edinburgh\, San Francisco and Orlando Fringe Festivals\, the Second City e.t.c. Theatre\, Davenport's Cabaret\, and NYC's Cinderblock Comedy Festival. He has performed with the Paper Machete for the last 9 years at the Green Mill Jazz Club in Chicago\, IL where he also recorded his live comedy album\, Knowing Your Audience. He has performed pop music at dueling piano bars for over 20 years. He is also an award-winning stage actor\, having received the Joseph Jefferson Award in Chicago for Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Musical for the role of Edward Kleban in Porchlight Music Theatre's "A Class Act". \n\n\n\nJoin us for your chance to win some of our new Uptown Swag!
