DESCRIPTION:The Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA)\, which passed with strong bipartisan support in 2016\, positioned Illinois to become a clean energy leader. Now\, it’s up to us to make sure that quality jobs\, equity\, and economic opportunity are at the heart of the clean energy future. \n\nICA is hosting a conversation on clean energy for the Uptown community in support of IL CleanJobs’s Listen. Lead. Share campaign.\n\nWe’ll discuss the four main pillars of the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA): 1) Promoting jobs and economic opportunity\; 2) Putting Illinois on a path to 100% renewable energy by 2050\; 3) Reducing the equivalent of 1 million gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles from the road\; and 4) Achieving a carbon-free power-sector by 2030.
