DESCRIPTION:Please note that this event has sold out! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe 5th Annual Taste of Uptown is an event that celebrates Uptown's amazing cultural and culinary diversity. This restaurant crawl will feature small bites and samplings from Uptown eateries. Participants will receive a passport at one of the event check-in points and stroll from restaurant to restaurant along the Broadway and Argyle business corridors\, enjoying samples at various locations.\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT:\n\nIn order to attend this event\, attendees must show proof of full COVID vaccination. All attendees will be required to show both an ID upon check-in on the day of the event and either a vaccination card or photo of the vaccination card. We are not accepting proof of a negative COVID test at this time. All attendees will also be required to wear a mask and keep it on unless actively eating or drinking. Attendees are not allowed to check-in for other guests. \n\n \n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n$30 - REGULAR PRICE (online ticket sales will be open through Tuesday\, September 28 at 5:00pm or until sold out)\n\n\n\nEvent will take place rain or shine. Was great being able to try some things from places we might not otherwise try."\n\n\n\n"I live close enough to Uptown that I should have visited some of these places before\, but this event really allowed me to sample and see how great the food choices really are in Uptown I really had no idea! Everything was so tasty."\n\n\n\n"I just moved to Uptown and it was like a crash course on the area. I really liked that it was kind of a walking tour\, which is unique for these "Taste" events. Once you receive your event passport\, you are free to go to any participating business in any order.\n\n\n\nAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?\n\nNo\, but a few locations may be serving liquor samples to those who are ages 21+ so please bring an ID.\n\n\n\nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?\n\nThis event is accessible via the Wilson and Argyle Red Line stations in addition to CTA bus routes #22\, #36\, #78\, and #81.\n\n\n\nDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?\n\nNo\, we will be checking people in by name.\n\n\n\nWhy don't I see my favorite Uptown restaurant as a participant? \n\nThis event is put produced by the Uptown Chamber of Commerce\, a local nonprofit organization that supports local businesses and organizations. Participation is limited to members of the organization. We extended an invitation to all of our members to participate and invited other food businesses to join the Uptown Chamber if they were interested in participating in the Taste of Uptown\, but not all businesses chose to participate. Additionally\, we aim to make the route of this event to be easily walkable\, therefore some businesses may be "hosted" at other businesses.
