Sail Her Dreams is inviting the community to explore the local avian landscape during a guided Bird Walk at Montrose, scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
Hosted at the Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary, the event offers participants a chance to learn about local bird species, the mechanics of migration, and the specific characteristics of the Montrose habitat. The walk will be led by Matt Igleski, Executive Director of the Chicago Bird Alliance, providing attendees with expert insight into the wildlife that utilizes Chicago’s lakefront and Erica Trejo, founder of Sail Her Dreams and Great Lakes Sailing.
This educational event is part of the ongoing programming by Sail Her Dreams to connect the public with the Great Lakes ecosystem and promote environmental awareness.
