About Kirsten:
I began my yoga practice during grad school. As a recovering perfectionist, the yoga room was a space for me to celebrate my own personal journey without comparison to others. My mat was a place to practice getting into my body, experiencing the present and feeling emotions. Because of this, I believe in making yoga a safe and accessible practice for everyone.
I completed my vinyasa-based teacher training in summer 2020 at my longtime yoga home, Zen Yoga Garage, and continued with an advanced training in psychologically-sensitive yoga at Room to Breathe.
My style is trauma-informed, grounding, challenging and well-sequenced. My classes help students grow in their asana practice while supporting their psychological and spiritual well-being.
I am based in Chicago and work in digital marketing. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, music, audio books, board games and bike rides. Looking forward to practicing with you.
