Max’s Place is searching for an experienced Bar Manager. An Uptown staple for over 30 years, Max’s is known for its welcoming atmosphere, eclectic patrons, and classic dive bar ambiance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and support staff.
Manage inventory, including supplies and liquor levels.
Schedule parties and events
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
Collaborate with ownership to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bar manager or in a similar role.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of bar operations and inventory management.
Familiarity with Chicago's bar scene is a plus.
