Somehow, it’s September, and we’re overdue in making this wonderful news official: Kylie Ruscheinski is now our Director of Community Relations!

Kylie has been part of the Uptown United and Uptown Chamber team for three years, providing critical licensing and permitting assistance to small businesses across Chicago’s north lakefront. But if you’ve worked with Kylie, you know her approach has always gone beyond technical assistance.

Every interaction starts with the individual—understanding what they need, making connections, and recognizing that supporting small businesses means supporting the community around them.

Director of Community Relations is a more accurate reflection of Kylie’s M.O. and the value she brings to our team and neighborhood.

So, how can Kylie work with you?

• Residents: Connect with local resources, events, gatherings, and opportunities to get more involved with your neighbors, businesses, and community organizations.
• Nonprofits & community organizations: Share volunteer opportunities, build new connections, and find more ways to engage the broader Uptown community.
